What pistols do you guys usually use in pistol round? WHat is your general tactic?

If im ct i keep the pistol and rush ad get 3 to 4 headshots. Im im terrorist i stay back a little and grab a CT gun whenever possible. I never buy anything first round, casue if you win 1st you will have enough for ak full armour and nade second round

Buy 2 extra clips of ammo, 1 HE grenade, 1 flash and 1 defuse kit. I generally aim for the head, and depending on the situation, I shoot fast or slow. It's really just a feeling though, I shoot slow at far range and at close, fast - I pull down a little to settle recoil.

Buy 1 HE grenade, 2 flashes, save 100 for extra clip on next round AK.
I never really use burst fire for the Glock, but it helps to jump around a lot since the recoil is almost non-existant in Glocks.

**No Deagle for me. I usually blow off a whole clip just panicing to kill the enemy - but that's me. Save this for the next round or the one after.

My first round in CS as a CT and T


T: Buy nothing and go burst glocking. If there are many (20+) people on the server then I would buy 1 extra secondary ammo clip. Tactic is to rush to areas where there will be close combat and where a high possiblity that there will be only 1 or 2 CTs rushing. Aim at the head and strafe to take down CT's. Do not pick up another pistol unless you run out of bullets.

CT: Buy nothing or buy a deagle with 1 extra ammo clip. Rush to the bombsite and guard it. Pick off T's one by one at far to middle ranges.

I think the default key setting has , and . bound to buy 1 clip of primary and secondary ammo respectively.

Always use starting guns for either side.
If I see a usp on the groundas a T i will grab it.

USP best pistol in my opinion.

First round strats:
On a pub I will just buy armor and extra rounds.
The armor helps alot the first few rounds specially on pubs.

In a match it varies depending on the strat.

I practice with all guns on my "Created Server" whatever gun i seem to do good with or practicing with i use that gun. If the gun wont kill for me no more i just stick with the usp or glock. I Give that a couple of weeks then see if any guns i can use better. That way i know the recoil of the pistols when i use them. Also, that way u can know how much ammo it takes to kill someone. Like the glock. i buy Full Ammo since it is very week. For USP i buy up to 74 ammo since it shoots so fast. For the deagle i buy full ammo since it runs out too fast. If i was going to rush i would use the Glock. If i see a deagle i always pick it up. If u were low on health a deagle would screw someone up bad if u were to shoot them in the right spot. I usually set my crosshair at 10000 or at Small when im using the pistol.

lol The only reason bunny started doing that was cause He couldn't figure out how I kept getting an Ak and armor after a pistol round loss for Terrorists, ever since I told Him he's been doing it.

Ct I usually keep the Usp I buy a Kit and some Ammo and a Flashbang or HE whatever I feel like using at the time and I usually Stay around the bombsite areas.

T I used to do what bunny now does but what I do now Is buy Glock ammo and Kevlar Rush and Aim for peoples Faces, Usually they go down in 3 shots to the face from a moderate distance, Short range they will go down in 2 shots, long range I shoot until they die.

And Dispite What people think the Glock Is not a "Weak" Weapon at all, You just have to know how to aim with it. Everyone tends to my Desert Eagles But I can't stand the gun, I try and use it and I can't hit shit most of the time, I've tried every little trick everyone else does with it and none of them work for me. I'll just stick to my 5 to 6 glock kills a pistol round.

CT : armor + maybe extra ammo, depending on how many people there are in the server. Then I go balls out and take down teh noobs

T : don't buy anything cuz half the time I get owned and the other half some dummy CT rushes and I burst fire their head and steal their usp and pray they didn't buy a deagle cuz I am anus with the deagle.

usp is the best pistol imo, which is why every time you see me with an awp, I have a usp.

i buy a vest, maybe some grenades or a defuse kit if I feel like pressing all the buttons to get them (sometimes thats way too much work). And then just shoot at heads.

It really depends on the map. Say we're on something like dust2 and we're in a pub. Usually I'll stick to the USP and make my way to catwalk with a diffuse kit and a nade. Usually hugging the right side, I wait until i spot the first head, pick them off and when I know more are coming, I retreat and toss the nade for some extra damage. From a distance I can pick off a few with ease because their health is decreased dramatically.

Say they don't rush cat/long. I can easily come up from behind them through B tunnels. With the USP I usually stick to 2 bullet pops, aiming at neck level so that the 2nd shot can hs if the first misses.

In a scrim, 1 long a, 2 cat, 1 mid, 1 sitting outside the doors at B. Lots of T's enjoy walking B, so door guy buys the kit for himself and the middle man and 2/3 of the A guys buy kits. one cat guy buys a nade, other a flash, long a buys a nade. Mid guy buys a flash, B guy a nade. This is so that if they rush long a, one of the cat guys can cover the long man with a flash and then both can toss nades and give fire from a high and a low spot. etc.

I love A more than B primarily because B is a bitch to get into and for various reasons I feel it's more difficult to defend by yourself. Dust 2 is just a lot of fun because both teams have a chance if they play their cards right.

I used to hate the things in 1.6 but have been leaning towards the Deagle. It's a lot more accurate than old CS.

in 1.6 the deagle was golden - the spray was ALWAYS to the bottom right of the xhair which meant easy running headshots.

I bought Lethal's CS Guide for 1.6 and it stated to look at the very top of the bottom crosshair, as to where the deagle would fire. That didn't work for me. My long range deagling was pretty inaccurate and random.

Okay, you knwo how you have the four lines, n,s,e,w that make up the xhair?

When you're standing still, the bullet will always go right above the southern line.

when you're running, it'll tend to be between the south and east.

My shots usually go dead center... or maybe it's just the bullet decals that are doing that?

Maybe they do but if you have small xhair + aiming the top of the south at their neck it usually always landed me a hs.

I buy nothing but silence my USP and full kevlar and helmet, this helps a lot on pistol rounds, It's fun :) I don't know why, But it just feels so much cooler when you jump out of corners and just snipe people with the silenced usp, so james bonde-esque... heh.


For T I usually, if I'm feeling a tad bit homo, buy dualies and just rush at them, but most of the time I buy nothing and stay away from open spaces in case the opposing team has a deagle.

Usualy I buy and Eagle and use all my money for ammo, if I'm feeling nasty, but if I feel normal I keep my weapon and pickup better one later if I live long enough, also sometimes I buy grenades.

I think the best thing is with glock at Medium range put it on 3 round burst and if your good enough, you'll get it on the 1st shot, usualy 2nd or 3rd if you still trying.

Knifing not very smart in pistol round. Chances are, the enemy's usp or glock will find your head before your knife stabs. But then again, if you're playing against pure n00bs, go for it :D

On CT I buy a Five-Seven because 1: It has 20 bullets and 2: Deadly accurate.

My reasoning is that i barely miss the head with pistols and the ability to kill 1 person with 5 bullets then still have 15 greatly advantages in a rush situation.

On T I always buy a USP if there is more then 5 enemies for the same purpose as CT and a Deagle if there is less for the power capabilities of taking down 1 oponent quickly...

I don't conserve cash because you should never buy an AK or M4 main rifle in the second round!

don't u only have enough money to buy either a flash or HE, well my tactic is just keep the starting weapon and as a T i find the 1st USP i can get and pick that **** up, since USP is easily more powerful and versatile than the glock in my hands
