I have noticed a lot of people in the pub server throw their flashbangs at Long A on dust2 very inefficiently. The usual thing I see is when they are about 10 feet away from the first set of double doors (T side, rushing) they toss their nade over the far corner of the wall, right next to the palm tree. Sometimes this is effective, or at least partially effective, however, many times the flashbang is thrown well before any CTs are present to be blinded by it.
A much more effective and consistant way to do flash long A is to wait until you have passed underneath the first set of double doors, then throw the flashbang at a 65~ degree angle through the first hole on the right. This flash will get any CTs who quickly reached the combat area right outside the doors, and you shall appear ready for action less than a second after your flashbang explodes in the air if you keep running straight through. I use this technique almost every time, and in few situations is it not the most effective strategy. Perfecting this technique so that it is second nature and you don't have to slow down at all to execute it during your rush will make your rush to Long A much stronger and provide you with better results.
