the start for surfing. I've got no clue how to do it I'm always jump on "the wave" and fall right off I'm googling it right now but if anyone wants to comment on srufing heres the thread.

I am actually a veteran surfer.... all you do is hold the strafe button TOWARD the side you are hugging.... ie if you're on the right side of the vertex, hold left strafe. Do not use the forward or backward keys whatsoever or you will fall... you can get "super accelerated" jumps by using your mouse to "fling" yourself off corners and such....i learned everything just by experimenting, but those guides i didnt look at might help... who knows.

i just need the basics like don't hold forward or reverse and only use strafe the guides had them. Surfin is fun :)

if i wanted to surf i'd play amped. and if i wanted on of these crazy races i'd playtrackmania nations. anyway surfing is fun, but not like pulling off stunts in battlefield.

After falling about a million times. I did surf for like one map and then I forgot a few months later lol and now I just learned again 2 weeks ago.

This guy I LANned with the other month told me to surf to the bottom then the top of a slope while going along it, builds up speed?

Surfing is as earlier described: You stay on the place by strafing to the side you're hugging. The physics engine lets you take advantage of the moving around corners at an accelerated pace; This is what makes bunny-hopping work, also.

To fling effectively, you need to do the same motion that makes bunny-hopping work; strafe, turn mouse same way and jump.
