hmm.. try using cl_crosshairscale 500. If that doesn't work wait for Pig or Payne to hook you up, they'll know what to do. Hope you enjoy the guide once you get it workin, lol! Sry I can't help you

You have access to the forums now.

What is your screen resolution?

Did you exec the userconfig.cfg file?

Yo Pig can I get access as well? I got an e-mail from Payne telling me a user/pass and that still didnt work, I've tried logging in with that as well as my regular user name and password and neither worked.

Ak/m4 (Like everyone!) they hit right in the middle of the 500 crosshair.

If you are keen on where the bullets land you will see and FEEL that the bullets of the AK actually land slightly above the middle of your large crosshair when bursting 3-6 bullets and it WILL land on where the video shows. To pwn in CS you have to be accurate in how you see your bullets land - dont just ASSume that it will land dead center if you burst fire. The M4 will hit the middle more and a small video on it will be up later - but using the M4 is basically the same technique shown in video 1 but aiming slightly higher.

I just fired the Beretta M9 today on the firing range and I ALMOST GOT EXPERT. I needed 1 more HEADSHOT to get expert.... damn bastards.

I was like BOOM HEADSHOT the first time I got one though and the guy next to me was like "omg fps doug?!" looool!

another thing is how do i shoot people with the 500 crosshair from ct edge of LONG A, when the T's are popping out of the ramp going down? i mean i play with the 500 crosshair and it's all good for close range somewhat to mid range. but in long range, or in a situation where only the targets head is seen i can't hit it. that's exactly what i love about day of defeat, no matter the crosshair size you have a dot in the middle.

the reason for using large crosshairs is specifically for long range firing. If all my battles were close range I would use smaller crosshairs.

At long range, small crosshairs tend to blur into the distance or be completely covered by your opponent's body/head. This causes a huge decrease in accuracy.

The large crosshairs at long range make it so you can know where your bullets will land, while being able to see the crosshair AND the person's body/head. It takes a little critical thinking and practice, but overall it's worth it.

Bah you noobs don't remember CS 1.3?? The crosshairs were that large when your resolution was like on 800. Thats one of the reasons to use the large crosshair. For me, its becuase I can clearly see my crosshair and never "lose" it when firing or bursting. And yes I can also see the enemey relative to where my crosshair's reference is when firing. It is actually VERY good for close range for me too. Again if you read the guide, I said to change your crosshair because it will help you see the crosshair better and have a better feel of where the bullets land on the crosshair. If it is too small u have no reference to where the bullets will land - eg: 5th and 6th bullet will land on middle to top of the top crosshair if on large, but when it is so small it lands where???? Who knows if you cant see a spot to reference it to.

actually big crosshair is good for close range, when i play sof 2 i play with the dot crosshair very effective since you can pinpoint yer enemy and make sure that the first couple o bullets land where u want em, but large crosshairs improve reaction time. since you won't shoot until you know that you point the boomstick at the enemy. so with large crosshairs you react faster.
