hey all,heres my new rig i built for pwning at CS:S. Everything was imported to britain, where prices are shocking. the cpu cost almost $750 after import and uk tax. total build cost was around $2600.


Amd X2 4400+ OC to 4712
KNI SLI extreme
2 x 1gb GEIL premium
1gb kingston ram
Nvidia 6800 XT OC
Soundblaster 2 audigy platinum
450w watercooled psu
251gb maxtor IDE hdd
251gb hitache SATA 3gb/s hdd
40gb 10,000 rpm maxtor ide
dvd-rw
dvd-r / cdrw
built in a custom HL2 bright red case.


Input devices:
2000dpi logitech weighted G5 mouse
Saitek RED limited edition gaming keyboard
antec noise cancelling mic

Output devices:
150w goodmans speakers
Epson Data projector
21" high refresh CRT

you should have went with a 7800GT instead of that 6800XT, other than that it's awesome

the server proccesors were the first ones to come out touting the "dual core godlyness" which amounts to a crock of shit my p4 3.8 ghz would outrun any dual core proccesor on the market.

Im going to get a job and save up for one of these:
200gb HD
4gb DDR2
AMD FX60
ATI x1900 or Geforce 7900GTX
20' LCD
500W PSU

Ill have to get a PCI-e mobo for that though, but by next christmas, it should only cost me around 1k for those parts, until then, Ill just settle for a 7800GS.
