View Full Version : Fog
Has anyone ever noticed the fog that is in most of the map-s or the little lighted clouds right above and round your heads, I have and it ticks me off.
Everytime I try to snipe most of the time it's ok, accept for when I zoom in a long distance, then the fog slows my frames per second almost bye 50% most of the time, and it makes it damned annoying and hard to snipe.
What I need is the console command to get rid of this, the only one I know of that I've tried is fog_enable 0 but it doesn't really work, I NEED HELP WITH THIS PLEASE IT MAKES IT REALLY HARD TO PLAY SOMETIMES AND THE FOG SMOKE IS NOT NEEDED ANYWAYS.

your settings are too low i bet, see if it's still there with AAx4 and mid level other settings.
What the heck is AA anyways? I never really knew, doesn't it just put more pixels on the guns or make everything look more detailed and solid?
And also what the heck is the point of color correction? It just makes everything blurry and wierd, although it is kinda funny while trying to use it because it makes you know what people who wear glasses feels like.

AA = Anti-Aliasing
Examples:
Aliased:

Anti-Aliased:

It basically makes the things on screen smoother by adding blended pixels to the outer edge of the object. The higher the AA the smoother the item will appear ;).
Oh, sorry, yeah I thought he was talk about "Anisotropic filtering", that's what I want to know, AF, I already know what AA = less jaggies.

It depends on whether you're pc can handle it.
I have mine on x2, but I've noticed that the higher it is, the more visual chug I get so I leave it low, I dont seem to notice the graphics when I play though...
