I copied pig and grogans autoexex.cfg and put them in my cstrike folder. ANd went to play the game. And when to the console and typed exex autoexex.cfg and nothing happened?????

its exec autoexec.cfg. i use userconfig.cfg for source

Ok i went in and copied grogans cfg file and put it in a notepad, i then saved it under steam/steamapps/my username/counterstrike/cstrike as autoexec.cfg under all files. I opened up the console and typed exec autoexec.cfg nothing happened so i tried userconfig.cfg and nothing happened. So i tried pigs cfg same thing happened it says this ] userconfig.cfg
Unknown command "userconfig.cfg i then tried saving grogans cfg as userconfig.cfg and tried again typing in userconfig.cfg and nothing happened??????

yea i have same problem when i first tried ur config pig it worked fine then tried my own and this happened or nothing happens at all

it says like CSP locked

and sometimes it does nothing

now im confuse do i save it as

autoexec.cfg or userconfig.cfg

and i save it to cstrike or cstrike > cfg

and to exec its exec userconfig.cfg right?

i also have a file in there called config.cfg do i need to delete that can anyone explain this really well so i can understand plz

You can copy the text into notepad and then rename it to *.cfg.

If you can't rename .txt to .cfg, then go into your config folder in steam and copy the config.cfg file and rename it to userconfig, then open it with notepad and paste in the config.

still doesnt feel like workin for me

either me or my computer is retarted i followed every step and when i go intoo ame in cinsole it says CSP command locked WTF!
