I'm not one of those people who Hate a guy or boycott his movies because I boggle at his religious beliefs, or because he's a Sith Lord out to kill Oprah (http://x4.putfile.com/6/17117153763.gif); However, I do admit I wasn't looking forward to seeing this movie when my friends planned last night's outing. What could they do that they hadn't already done pretty well in the first two?

Overall, I enjoyed the movie, and I'll tell you why later on. For now, I'll mention that I haven't seen so many shots of a person sprinting since Run Lola Run. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0130827/)

Ever have those moments while watching a movie where you laugh despite a seemingly tense situation onscreen?

I was laughing through this whole movie, and not always at Tom Cruise; A genuine smattering of amusing statements made by supporting castmembers do not seem forced as I might have expected. The action scenes are nicely shot, with evidence of a decent amount of thought put into them.

I do recall during that Singapore base jump wondering if he really had any other plan to stop himself other than snagging on that bigass pipe. Okay Mr. Crazy ass high-tech spy man... Spend all that time calculating with your chalk on the window and forget about the landing. What about those Magnets from the first movie? They worked pretty damn well for you back then, and we know you have them since earlier in the movie you attached explosives with them. I suppose I leapt to the conclusion he forgot about the Stopping part when he kept going after killing the guards and started to look really panicked.

I love how after being shocked by what was clearly a ridiculous and deadly amount of volts, he springs back to life after clearly being out for more than four minutes.

For those of you who don't know, after four minutes you're brain dead.

And you sure as hell wouldn't get up that fast.

One builds a believable world based off of reality, while the other builds a believable world off of physics that could theoretically exist in a computer environment/alternative universe/sci fi universe.

Mission impossible does not take place in the matrix.

Don't get me wrong - it was entertaining, but it definately didn't work.

I mean shit, professional spies using their real names in the field? Yeah okay.

See, Creature, you keep saying the same thing, and haven't figured out that people are discussing it As If It Were purporting to base itself in Reality.

Refuting the presumption for a hypothetical discussion is not constructive; It is, as I'm sure you can see, an exercise in futility. Why would we stop talking about the central theme of the things that Didn't work in a movie just because you whip out (repeatedly) the shallow and unrefutable fact that it is a movie?

Im sorry, tom cruise sliding down a building and shooting 2 people in the chest with two bullets is pretty fake. It's not the things like that that get me, since yes, I believe a person could pull that kind of shit off. The problems that leap out at me are the kind that a director or writer might sacrifice reality for in favour of dramatic effect.

I love how after being shocked by what was clearly a ridiculous and deadly amount of volts, he springs back to life after clearly being out for more than four minutes. "Don't forget the off part." Yes, I remember thinking that as well. I did snicker a bit when they showed him all heart-stopped and mouth open; Optical illusion or not, he smiled. And you know... I smiled, too. Why, you ask? ... Cleavage.

Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink, Say no more.
