new video card

hey im getting a new card with my birthday money and i dont know what to get... ill probly have about 250-270 to spend and i would like to be able to run on dx9 with high graphix and hdr.. is there a card that can do that for this price?

Umm i got a ati radeon x700 pro. And i think it tops the graphics it about 200. Its nice. Itll run top settings to the max.

I wouldnt run hdr if I were you. As for videocards, I go on newegg and read the reviews. lol

In that price range the best card you can get is a 7600 GT, it has shader model 3, 12 PP's,1500 Mhz core GDDR RAM. It's by far better than a x850, ATI 1300.

if anything save up till about $400 and go with a x1900, which is the best card out right now.

Well the agp and pci slots depend on your motherboard, Now if you have pci slot's with an X16 slot you then can get a 1900 xTx if you have the money if you dont then go with the 7600 GT which is your best solution in your price range. You probably do a have PCIE slot and PCI's. AGP board's arent really made anymore its old cheap crap.

For that price i would get a x800 or x850

Depends, what kind of mobo do you have cause it could be AGP 2X/4X or AGP 4X/8X if it is 4x/8x i would go with the 7800GS, No i dont make sigs i used to make some sick ass sigs in photoshop i gave it up, i do VB.6/C++ programming now.
