Mouse acceleration is a feature of XP that causes the mouse cursor to move faster than the mouse is actually being moved by the user. This is great for most programs as it makes it convenient to move your mouse cursor over large distances across your screen. For gaming, however, it is not so great, becauser your mouse movement is not precise. The mouse fix makes a registry change that disables mouse acceleration.



Download it and your aim should get a lot better. Every gamer should have this fix.

not eberyone's mouse acceleration is borken - not even everyone in windows XP.

I use a razor mouse and when this first issue appeared I checked my registry expecting to have to edit it, but it was already exactly how it had to be. But if yours is broken fix it rite away.

Nothin bad can come from downloadin it you should just download it. If registry is messed up it fixes it, if nothings wrong with it, it stays the same.

Yeah I noticed that, probably why it gets really hard for me to snipe sometimes, because just when u think u have them and u aimed perfectly it went just a little to far to the left and you died, although for close up it's pretty good, nice to know that it wasn't just me that this was happening to though.

erm yeah its actually screwed my aim up. Way too sensitive, in game sens 1.2 mouse sens 4.5 after changing and its still too sensitive. Does anyone know how to remove it? plz

The effect should have been the opposite. It should be less sensitive

Dont believe that it has the much effect on mouse sens... besides you can change your mouse sense just make it lower?

Rewsky, why cant u just turn your mouse accel off in the curor options of your control panel... doesn't it do the same thing? Im curious.

ya um, i took it, and, extracted to desktop, and opened it, and, well, my computer is sort of in french cause the jackass gateway sent a french format disk, and, it gives me a message after i say yes to do i realkly wanna blah blah blah. so, i suppose that means it didnt work, any ideas why? i took the link last posted.

If you mean the links dead, try gotfrag.com. You have to register but its in the counter strike source downloads section, CPL Mouse fix or something. I was one of these people using the launch options like noforcemaccel, turns out it doesn't full remove it and once I put the mouse fix in I have alot more control of my x-hair.
