I was just wondering, what makes you choose the names you do in Counter Strike, or for any game in that matter? Why do you choose names like pwner, or Havik or Solid, what inspires you to choose these names and to represent yourself in the gaming world?

Here is a description of The Pig:

"It is rumoured that when Duc de Truffe, the Pig, was born that he looked so hideous that his parents abandoned him in the street.

Whatever the case, it is known that he was taken in by a group of traveling bandits who raided small towns and villages throughout the homeland. Whilst growing up with this small army of rogues he was vastly underfed; however, after developing a crude but effective understanding of basic military tactics and being nominated as their leader, the Pig made sure that he had first call on the best foods after each raid and has overeaten ever since.

The Pig trains archers, spearmen, crossbowmen, macemen, pikemen, and most siege weapons."

Yeah I knew that about you Pig, I know because I used to have that game, even sometimes I use the name "The Wolf", because that dude was such a pain in the ass to beat in the game. 100's of archers and every kind of siege weapon couldn't defeat him.

Well I been Bunsen for about a year now, but gaming history includes "Anathema" from the band name and the definition of the word, Also Canadian Pimp and Buster Hymen back from the good ol days of AstroNest.

AstroNest was a great Webpage turn-based strategy game; Groups of players formed "Corporations" which raided each other for resources and built ships and whatnot. A lot of the "Clans" on there were so serious and posing as Badass or using medieval themes, but me and my friends are a bunch of jokers. We made a group modeled after a Film Production company; A Porn studio, naturally.

Hot n' Horny INC. was born, with such illustrious board members as GreasyPornStar (Formerly known as GreasyBurtReynolds), Peter Niss, and Master Beta, with the ship designs sporting names like French Tickler, Muffin Season, Hotmail Inbox, Mountain Dew, Gneiss Cleavage, Sandpaper Condom, etc. Best thing about the game was every time you attacked someone you could send them a message to taunt them. Ahh great stuff.... So sexually explicit and offensive, yet such damn funny reactions.

i got my name from 2 sources

1. some friends used to call me Solid because i was a "solid player" or whatever, consistant and predictable.

2. Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, which to this day is one of my favorite games.
