So it appears I won't be getting that HP I wanted, but that's a good thing because thanks to my Fathers boss and his small business Dell magazine we were able to get one of the sweetest deals I think I've ever seen, we just ordered it yesterday, should be here within the week.

Intel Pentium D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.80GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Genuine Windows XP Home Edition

Corel WordPerfect Word Processor

FREE upgrade to 1GB shared DDR2 SDRAM for the price of 512MB shared DDR2 SDRAM ($50 Value)

80GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM) Upgraded to 160 for $30

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (GMA 950) Upgraded ATI X600 256 mb PCI-e something for $99

16x DVD-ROM Drive

Windows Vista Capable

1-Year Economy Service Plan (Next Business Day On-Site Service, 1-Year Hardware Warranty Support)

Dell 19" E196FP Flat-Panel Display

NOW
"$549"
With the upgraded Hard-Drive, Video Card and Tax $699 Total!

I know, you all must be so jealous, I know I am man, I mean this freaking computers LCD monitor is $279 alone! Not to mention this computer was originally $949, but we get 400 instant savings, because my Dads special. Still can't believe that in the end it only cost us $699, now I should be able to play all the games I want on this baby pretty fairly, I will be getting a new Video Card as soon as I get a summer job, but for now, this baby is way better than the other computer I was using.
AMD64Bit 3300+
1024 Mb
PNY 6200 256
250 Gig

I figure until I upgrade the video card I should get an average of 70 fps in CS:Source with everything on high and etc.

SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? Did I get a kick ass deal or what?

nice, my friend has about the same as those specs, except his graphics card is a raedon x300 so I think your's is better. He runs css on highest and gets like 50 fps, sometimes higher. Yours should get atleast 60.

With 1 Gig, AMD64bit 3300+ and PNY 6200 card I used to get, well according to benchmarks, I think it was like, yeah it was 55fps on average, so now I should be getting around 70's, but yeah anyways if you guys can find a better deal for a computer let me know  .

Decent deal but I hate dell primarily because you can't upgrade without complications. If you didn't have a monitor before I'd say it was a good buy.

Yeah, some games actually run slower on 2 Gigs, don't know why lol, but maybe they just can't take it lol ^_<.

Anyways yeah I just got it today, to bad I'm still at this cafe lol.

But yeah I got a sweet 19" lcd Dell monitor with my computer, personally I don't like Dell, but hey my Dad payed for it, and we saved $400 off the original business deal, so that's good enough for me. 8)

Yeah fps are alright, but they could be better, when I get my summer job maybe working at CompUSA I will get a 7600 Gt, seems to be the best bet.
