well i just got off my vacation, back down in Georgia, and I basically bought the same computer which sucks.. But for some strange reason when i try to change my video settings an error pops up something about some problem shit 484078321x470598103 error terminate problem. Its stuck on medium-medium-high video settings and im getting low as fps. And with the shader detail on low the ****ing game looks ****ed up. Well, i have 300 bucks right beside me should i get a new video card? Or just stick with my intergrated and try to fix the problem? Well im reinstalling css. If u guys got this error before or know how to fix it plz help

well i was using a bad ass laptop up in South Carolina the past 2-3 weeks for my vacation, but now im back with this eMachines.
Video Card: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP
Processor: AMD Sempron 3100+ 1.80GHz, 448MB of RAM
System: Microsoft Windows Home Edition Service Pack 2
Monitor: Sony Viao 19' LCD Screen
Mouse: Razer Diamondback - Chameleon Green
w3105 Desktop PC
well thats pretty much all i know without looking into the details >.<, i reformated this computer like yesterday afternoon.. ive been getting problems playing css because it lags like hell with medium and high settings on an intergrated. Can anyone find me the best video card for 280 and under? And do u need any information in order to know wether its compatiable with my computer? BTW - i got done reinstalling css and its weird.. i uninstalled it but all the icons are still there and i deleted em all and when i reinstalled css it took like a few seconds.. but the error is still the same. When i try to lower my video settings it crashes and either come up with a hl2.exe bullshit or some 4370897x9871423 terminate error ( crashes and makes a noise btw ) sooo.. yah.. I really hope to particpate at a LAN this summer and doing s6, but seems like my comp feels like being gay again >:|

Video card for a PC desktop? or laptop?
Anyway, PCI-E is the latest technology for video cards and you should buy that instead of the regular pci cards. I think you can get a 7900 for 300? not sure. Also Core 2 Duo comes out tomorrow, so Holla!

get a 7800 for under 300(79 series has been having problems) or a 7950 for over 300, or wait till dx10 comes out, which is a better choice.

Depends on the power supply of your computer? Which I might be guessing is somewhere around 300 watts, in that case 7800's are mostly out of the question because they require more power, so you'll have to settel for a 7600 of some sort, which I think are better deals and give you more juice for alot less price.

First you have to open your case and find out wether you have an AGP slot or a PCI-e slot. Everybody is suggesting that 7800 but they are PCI-e...unless you get the GS version which is over 300 i beleive. Either way if you get any video card over the 6600(nvidia) or over the 9800(ati) Then you will have to get a new psu. We still don't know what type/size your psu is so i can't garuntee that though. But you will probably want at least 400+watts for any bigger video card...depending on what the rest of your specs are

you have a pci-e so go ahead and buy that 7800 if you wish. Only thing is you will most likely need a new psu because the walmart page doesn't mention what is in your system right now.

how much would that cost? i only got 300 bucks, but i can pull something off. Mostly likely i can get somewhere "near" 350. Does bestbuy charge to put the things in ur comp?
