Also, I would love someone from here to be on my team, but it's already full, plus we have 2 people on our waiting list  . I haven't come into contact yet with any of my teamates through the messages I sent them through our headquarters, but hopefully they aren't completely total newbs.

good luck with tourney, cause last the last CSS Tournament gamespot hosted the winners went 60-0 and dominated every team with real ease even though in my point of view they were pretty good

So if ur up against them u will need to pull somethin out of ur sleeve, lol

Good Luck!!!

I'm not 18 either, I'm 17, be 18 next spring, but if you read the rules about traveling and prize money you only have to have your parents sign for you and your all set.

Don't worry I know some people are really good, it's a good thing I am too when I need to to, not to mention I will be really good when I get my new mousepad. the reason I am not so good now, or am sometimes is my mousepad, http://www.allsop.com/mouse-pads/pc-gamers-mouse-pads/model-27814/charcoal-metal-art-mouse-pad/. For some reason my mouse this new one now sticks to the middle like a magnet when I move it across, so only way I can even really play at all is keep it in corner at all times. So yeah, Ima be really happy once I get a new mousepad Ima be able to start really owning.

You cant blame bad playing on a mousepad.

I know, which is why sometimes I still do good, but trust me, if had this one, you'd be pissed off with it, I miss some of the easiest sniper shots, and sometimes I get good ones, but it just, u have to have it to know man.

"2. Eligibility. You are only eligible to enter the Tournament if, as of August 2, 2006, you meet all of the following conditions: (a) are a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia; (b) are at least eighteen (18 ) years of age or older (and have your parent/legal guardian?s permission to enter should you be a minor in your state of residence); (c) have a registered GameSpot.com account and are the..."

I read through everything, and I'm pretty sure they mean that if 18-20ish is considered a minor in your state, then you would have to get a parent's consent.

wow dude you must be on drugs your performance is not going to increase significantly with a mousepad the only way your performance will get better is if you learn to make better shots and better moves a mousepad aint going to do shit. and you will relize that once you get your mousepad in the mail and you start to use it and a week later you havent gotton any better.

I should take a screen shot of the pos mouse pad I have.

Seriously, hardware like mice and mousepads will make a difference, but only because they'll cut down on the bullshit that happens, or what i'd like to call "innacuracies."

For instance, my dual optical logitech mouse is shittier than my copperhead. What does the copperhead do for my game? Makes my shots more accurate and decreases the amount of "slip ups" that happen (aka, thanks to the high dpi, when i stop it on the head it stops on the head). This helps my game, but doesn't really cause a jump in skill level by more than 10%.

Same thing with the mouse pad. If you guys could only see the pos that is my mousepad, you'd cry for me. My mouse gets stuck, it's falling apart, and it's surface is rough and shitty. Would a new mousepad help? Yes. By more than 10%? No.

FPS, which is dependent on ram, video card, and processor, will be responsible for a 20+% boost in skill level, only because if a good player goes from 20 fps to a consistent 60 fps, they will know, feel, and be able to take advantage of the difference. My game goes to shit once 24 people log on to our pub because my frames drop to 20-40. I cannot control the spray of any gun nor can i awp accurately - and I use a controlled spray for most of my close/mid ranged kills. Can't strafe stop accurately either, which hurts my long distance game.

So, that's my take on this whole issue.

Yeah I think a mousepad can maybe increase your accuracy if you had a really shitty mousepad but Tk is saying that a new mousepad will make him like 50 percenet better than he is right now.

yea, like the mouse i have right now, i cant do turns with lifting my mouse.. so my wrist has a limit, but the kid said "40-70%" You can get some mousepads for 5 bucks and get the same results as the name brand ones.

Tk

50 because this mousepad has been degrading me and it has not only been making me play worse but it piss's me off and that makes me play even worse. Awp shots almost always get stuck where I don't want them to, some shots slide, but most it's because the mouse sticks to the pad when I need it not to so it's hard to concentrate a shot that's far away because it skips from me trying to move it, and when I try to use corners of mousepad it moves to slow and to fast and it gets stuck.

So that's my take.

Anyone know where I can get the Thunder 8 mousepad? Or better yet the new 9 one? Somewhere around here, and also any good mouses and pads for future reference that I can buy in stores like BestBuy, Staples, compUSA and Microcenter?

Tk if it ****s you up more to use that pad then dont use it ive only used my desk before and it worked fine and I did it for like 6monthes and had no problem and once I did get a my exactmat witch I completly regret buying I didnt get any better I actually went back and played with no mousepad for a few weeks and then once I decided to use it again I started to like it but I still regret paying 30 bucks for it when I could have got one from staples or officemax for like 5 bucks and it work just as good but I do not believe it made me any better than I was before, I simply think it just made it easier only because it was smoother surface than my desk.

Also Grimm is right I think it you put a piece of paper down on a flat surface they work nice as mousepads.
