I really need to get some more ram (I'm only running 512MB atm) and don't really have a clue what to look for other than that I want as much as I can get.

Eg. Probably some noob questions but:

1. What does DDR mean?

2. What is DIMM?

3. How does the clock rate affect anything?

4. NonECC??

5. Module Configuration?

6. What brands should I be looking out for?

7. Do I have to have special slots for different sizes of ram.

Thanks for any info in advance :)

Brands : Kingston & Corsair
Dim & Pin: The ammount of pins that it has, so that it knows which motherboards it can fit into and which not.
Clockrate: The higher the better and more efficient & faster your ram will be.
DDR: Double Data Ram, at least get this, unless you can find, that other one I forgot what it's called, is even faster, but more rare.

When I buy parts for my computer I make sure they look cool.

Thanks Tk, that helps :)

btw that "other" DDR, do you mean DDR2? I thinks that's better, but my comp is a little old so it can only take DDR.
