WoW scam?? Little imput please

I played WoW briefly when they had the free trial a long time ago.

I received two emails relating to Paid Charactor Transfers. One said pending, the other complete. It mentioned having a $25 fee assessed to my credit card for transfering....

I let the account die, err frozen. As blizzard states trail accounts are not closed and not billed untill you buy the retail game.


So WTF is this about?

I THINK it's about having a sort of transfer fee if you want to change servers with your Character. For example: If you have your lil' 60 Epic'ed goody goody char that you spent over 250 hours on, and are bored as crap cause all your friends are in server "Wastimehere", you can transfer your char from "Thisonesucks" to "Wastimehere" for 25$. ^_^''

WTF two more transfers happened today with caractors I know I didn't start, like level 10 and 50 witih names like hedwig and wonka

Contact credit card company and tell them to reverse payment and say they are unauthorized payments.

None of my CC's have been charged..


I have been in email correspondance with Blizzard. They think someone has been using my account.

I will let you know what the scam is when i figure it out.
