well my graphics card, a 6600GT on AGP, broke, over the summer but I was not playing css too much so I just didn't bother with it.
The fan on the heatsink borke so anytime it can under heavy load it would overheat and crash the computer.
Now this is a relatively easy fix, could have bought an aftermarket fan kit but I decided I needed a new gpu :). The AGP graphics card dptarment is rather limited, but I finally found one under $200 that fit the bill. Its a x850XT all-in-wonder and it runs on AGP!!!! I can finally run source at high settings with good fps.
I did have to go buy an aftermarket PCI cooler though, the card was running at 85 degrees C - after the two slot cooler was installed 75 degrees C. Still hot but much more tolerable. A rule with microchips is every 10 degrees hotter reduces their lifetime in half. ATi sayes 85 degrees is okay, I say thats too hot.
so anyway anyone looking for an AGP upgrade now that 6800 Ultras are unavailable should take a look at the 7800GS if they are rich or the x850XT all-in-winder at newegg of course
