Noob unscope awping

G'day all WoP people, long time reader first time poster.

I havn't actually bought any of the lessons at the moment but i do watch some of the example video's and read a lot in the forums. I saw the pigs awping video when he unscoped about a gazillion people a few weeks back and said to myself, I have go to learn how to do that.

After a few days of playing with bots a decided to record my progress from total noob to sort of being able to do it...

That is the link to a movie i made with me and a couple of knify bots and i just wanted to show it to some people.

Tips or suggestions on improving my unscoping would be apperciated but don't say anything that would ruin the lessons as it is not in my interest to have that happen.

To my knowledge, there's a lot of random chance in unscoped shots. Crouching also adds accuracy, but no matter how good you are, there's a chance you'll miss.

There's a pretty good descrip in the WoP guide as to how to noscope, as you seem to know.

I would, however, advise you to ignore that Crouch nonsense; If you miss, you are slower than a geriatric turtle to move. Honestly, practice when you're standing up and strafing so you can try and dodge, or you will get PWNED hardcore trying that shit against humans. You can fire an awful lot faster if you don't bother to crouch, and it'll help your twitch anyways like Noscoping is the actual extension of.

Bottom line, maybe crouching improves your aim, but proper twitching and strafing will keep you alive longer to kill more noobs.

practically the only reason i do it.. but sometimes when i dont have time to scope i just no scope its easier for closer shots.

if you want ill make one on india just employing different tactics, like i noticed you rest your awp until it says their name, the awp doesnt primarilt hit the centre anyways so that'll only work for the scout.

It's a valid observation and presentation of his interpretation of WoP's communications. It is just a little out of place here since it really has nothing to do with the thread.

If you're going to noscope with bots, i'd suggest you use
bot_dont_shoot 1 instead of bot_knives_only 1.

That way, they'll still ACT like normal awpers and won't be lining up to try and knife you because it's their only choice.

On the technique itself, I'd work on twitching more and aiming less; You notice how much you miss no matter how hard you aim, so you might as well throw in the approximation anyways.

Noscoping is about feeling where the centre of your crosshair is, not making sure the exact centre is exactly where it should be to hit the guy all other things held constant. Twitching will help take the gauging you seem to be doing out of it, and will enable you to do it faster with about the same rate of success.

I saw you doing the twitching more often when they were knifing right next to you, i believe it's because you're in a rush to kill them before they knife you, and that's how you'll be in game.

Not bad, if you just started. I've been in pubs for a bit now and I'm getting better with the AWP. This may be a stupid question, actually I'm sure it is, but... I can't seem to manage to setup a test server like the one you have here... I was wondering what the name of the map was, and if you can let me know how to do so, or link me to a tutorial on setting up a bot server.. I attempted to with the "Create server" link, and I can load it up and all but my money is still at 800, despite setting it to 16000. Any help on the map name and what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated! Keep us updated with your no-scope AWP'ing progress!

Practise with loads of bots on a big map, try moving the awp before you shoot duno why but it helps to do a quick movement. A lot depends on wether you know where the centre of the screen is. I wouldnt advise waiting for their name to appear as its not even that accurate waiting for this and it takes too long. Just down to practise but its only ever of use at close range if u get suprised by an enemy or dont have time to scope, any other range its much safer to do a quick scope.

That'll because of Dynamic Weapon Pricing (DWP). You can turn this off - but for me that doesn't always fix it, so just open the console and type:

sv_cheats 1

followed by:

impulse 101

For $16000. Also, another couple of helpful commands (must have sv_cheats on):

bot_zombie 1 // Makes bots stand still so you can practice stationary headshots at various ranges.

bot_dont_shoot 1 // The bots buy weapons and act as usual, but they never depress the trigger, so you can practice on moving targets etc...

You are kind of waiting to long for them to get next to you, you have a get somewhat at a distance when no scoping, also, you have to know what you are doing first and where the spray pattern is with a noscope, if you watch

you can see where he aims for no scopes, also, just go into a 16k pub and practice no scopes, that's how I started to learn, then I put a sticky note ripped to a dot where my crosshair is and noscoped for a while and got used to it.... it's pretty cool

awp_india but get awp_india v2 less choke cuz it doesnt spawn weapons

If you mean so it's: You vs 10 Bots
then...

Jump into the game (with no bots) and join T's. Then, in the console, type:

mp_autoteambalance 0
mp_limitteams 0

bot_add_ct (x10 for 10 CT bots)

yes lol that is what i meant but it didnt come out right another good command is:
sv_cheats 1
bot_dont_shoot 1

this makes the bots line up for shots but they dont pull the trigger if u want to work on shots without dying
