Hey, I currently own a steel series steel sound 5h headset. I was wondering if there is anything better than this. I want to be able to hear people walking in css as far away as I can. What is the best headset out there??

Note: I dont want to pay $100 for one

I think the steel series is good enough for a gaming headset, but if you want to hear clear, a sound card you should get is X-fi Xtreme Music. If you want distance, Audigy 4. Both by creative, and has really great 3D sound.

bro the 5h is fine. However, i think they had some problems with em in some models
I would say get the 5h v2. And a sound card isn't necessary, the usb sound cards are fine.

I perform at the highest levels of css, and it demands a lot, and i use an icemat headset with the usb sound card, and the footsteps are distinguishable.

But your 5h should be find as long as it has some kind of sound card.

Is the Steel Series SteelSound 5H V2 better than the Razer Barracuda?

Yep by alot I got my SteelSound 5H V2 for 14.95 with google check out during Christmas season. Most people say that the Razer Barracuda is fragile and doesn't go good without his brother the Razer Barracuda soundcard.
