A good gaming mouse is
essential when you want that extra edge in
your gaming performance, especially in first
person shooters. Its a critical piece of
hardware that with add of decrease your
performance by +/- 20%. Here is a gaming
mouse that I think is quite possibly the
best gaming mouse on the market today. Its
the
Razer Diamondback
gaming mouse.

Features =

This mouse has
everything that all the latest gaming
mouses are striving for. Skip-free
movement tracking with an 1600dpi
optical resolution, on-the-fly
sensitivity adjustment which allows you
to adjust your sensitivity even when
your playing CS with a touch of a
button, seven fully customizable
buttons, a carrying pouch if you travel
with your mouse, and it lights up! The
only thing I missed on this mouse was
that it does not have a tilting wheel
like the Microsoft intellimouse.
However, that feature does not have any
real use in games.
Performance =

A mouse can be
really fancy and pricey with emphasis on
non-skipping tracking on up to 15G
acceleration, state of the art optical
led (or lasers now), cool packaging, 10+
buttons, and so on. But it all boils
down to performance for gaming mouses.
Fortunately this mouse does not
disappoint. The first thing you will
notice about this mouse when you
actually use it for gaming is that it is
light weight and has excellent
ergonomics.
The grove at the sides are
not too deep like the chunky and heavier
Logitech 500's+ now. So when combined
with its lightweight, this mouse is
highly maneuverable while maintaining
high controllability. Many gamers,
including myself, like to actually lift
the mouse up off the mouse pad to
readjust once in awhile when gaming. The Razer Diamondback mouse seems to be
designed for that. The left and right
mouse buttons are large and responsive
plastic areas. The other buttons are
smaller and are located at the sides of
the mouse. I have not accidentally
pressed one of there "extra" buttons
when gaming and find that they are in
good locations. I don't really use them
often so others who do may complain that
there are actually too hard to reach.
Like the two small buttons on the
right-most side of the mouse needs your
pinky or ring finger to press them,
which feels weird. As stated this mouse
has 1600 DPI resolution and I have not
encountered any problems with it
skipping during gameplay even with high
sensitivity settings.
Value =

I've been using
this mouse for about about a year and
find that its the best mouse that I have
every brought. Its light weight and very
durable. The buttons have not lost any
of their "bounce" even with hours of
gaming. The pads on the bottom just
needs a wash once in awhile to keep dust
from collecting at the edges. They are
still very smooth and only have slight
scratches that really don't affect
performance. There are constant minor
improvements from the driver updates
that are available from the
Razerzone
website.

Where to buy:
You can buy these
mouses directly from the Razerzone website
at $59.99 and are available
here.
Overall =

In summary, this is
an excellent gaming mouse based on
performance and I think it is the best
gaming mouse available today. Its price is
reasonable when compared to other gaming
mouses from logitech with similar (or most
likely less) features.
